I have new spark plugs in and I was told I need new spark plug wires and when I start the truck in the picture this is where the spark is coming from so do I need new spark plug wires?

I HIGHLY recommend you use Copper never seize on the plugs. Do not put on wires that are thicker than stock wires.

Yes.  I suggest you use Delco spark plug wires along with delco plugs.  (or NGK if your engine came from the factory with NGK plugs- refer to your owners manual)

GM actually recommends against any kind of anti-sieze. I don't use it either.

The reason why is that people tend to use a Aluminum based Never Seize, and you do not want the same metals together for corrosion reasons, this is why I said Copper.

Having worked for GM, and having seen plenty of plugs broken off at 100K+ miles, I wouldn't do a job with the copper.

Any area where you get 100% humidity during the year and rust can occur, and you wait the full 100K service, you are likely to have issues with the plugs and the Exhaust manifold bolts.

IMHO..Always, do as you see fit...

That makes sense I guess. I'll admit, while I'm not working in a shop full time, I do enough stuff on the side to keep busy and keep my AAS relevant. I can't say I've ever had any spark plug issues on any GM's I've worked on. The only ones that give me grief are the Ford 5.4's of course. I don't think MN is a high humidity area (besides the summertime), but being in the rust belt doesn't help either. Coincidentally, I just did the plugs in wires on my '12 with ~115K miles on it, and it was straightforward with no frills. I'll give you on the exhaust manifold bolts though. I either spackle some anti-sieze or blue loctite on those (I've had some bolts loosen on me despite torquing and retorquing).
