Looking to replace the head unit on my 2015 Silverado LTZ with a more modern one that includes 'car play' and android auto'

 

Has anyone been don this path before

 

Tried Crutchfield but the have me in a loop trying to sell me something small for an older chevy

There are tons. You can go the Tesla style by Phoenix radios or kenwood, or alpine, or even pioneer. Will need to remove all your oem stuff and get a dash kit And wiring harness. If Bose there is a module you usually ha e to hook up for factory amp

There are also ways to add android auto/car play to your 2015 like factory. I just did that on my 2015 by using components from a later model truck and some reprogramming. Well worth it IMO.

I have a 2014 and done the CarPlay upgrade, with the Denali Cluster, also have hmi2.5 with navigation, radio modules and 8in screen with digital AC buttons available for sell let me know if your interested (I think most trucks have the 8in screen already but if not I have a couple Available)
