Extended tow mirrors

I have a couple questions about my 2013 Silverado 4X4 extended cab but I'll put them in separate posts.

This one has to do with extended tow mirrors.

The truck currently has factory power - heated mirrors.

The new ones can be manually extended but must have the standard power adjust and heated features.

I would like them to have running lights and directional signals.

Since my Silverado is silver they can either be black or chrome

I see a bunch on Amazon and the reviews are mixed.

People are complaining about shake, poor chrome, plastic mirrors, and blown out LEDS.

What experiences have you had and which mirror would you recommend?

How hard is it to wire the running lights and directional if they have that feature?

That is very helpful but unfortunately it covers trucks after 2013 (not 2013) and mostly covers the conversion from the standard DL8 to DL3/DQS which has power folding and extension.

The DL8 configuration may lack turn signal and running light power in the doors but I can't tell for sure.

Does anyone know if the turn signals and running light power is in the door of a 2013 with the DL8 mirrors or if I have to run new wires?

I’m also going down this road with my 2013 crew cab 4x4 Silverado. I have the RPO DL8 in the glove box and pre-inspected inside the driver door but still need to trace the wires from the mirrors to the plug/door switch. I’ve already ordered and received the Yitamotor tow mirrors (heat/signal/clearance).

I reached out to Phil also, unfortunately he’s primarily 2014+ though his work and info look amazing. My plan at this point is to trace the wires and hopefully will be able to just rewire the plug. Otherwise my last resort is to cut wires at the mirror side and wire up the motor wires and run my own wires for the signals and clearance. Crossing my fingers to keep this as simple as possible.

Great News!!! Just installed my Yitamotor tow mirrors on my 2013 Silverado and they are fully functional minus the clearance lights. This was expected because I have to hard wire them with the wiring supplied by Yitamotor and I didn’t venture that yet. But heat, signals and power mirror adjust all work perfectly!  All plug and play with factory harness.
