I just want to give a big thumbs up to the Oakland Athletics! What a way to start off the playoffs by going into New York and taking 2 straight from the Yankees. Now I just hope they can win the first game in Oakland and knock those dang Yanks from the playoffs!

I don't like the A's very much, but I'll sure as heck cheer for them over the Yankees. I'd like to see the Mariners and Astros in the series, with the Astros winning in six.

I'm still in shock that the Cubs didn't make it. ;)

I don't pay much attn to MLB much period. I think it's really boring just to stand there for 5 mins. chewing\spitting tobacco and every once in while, one or 2 "exciting" moments happen every 15 to 30 minutes are so.

With that said, Go Braves!

Richmond's AAA team is where Atlanta's "Future stars" play.

And my mom used to work @ the Diamond, she got to park in the same Lot w/ the players, etc. . So chances are, I've seen some of the A-Braves' "stars" in person before they were famous. My most memorable player from Richmond was Ryan Klesko (I know, he's not with Atlanta, and he has a "cry-baby" reputation). Why? Cause he had a Big Truck with like, 44's on it or something that I saw in the parking lot.

Ya know Jp, I don't really like the A's all that much either but I can not stand the Yankee's. Besides I like to see a team with a tiny payroll stomp on the Yanks a bit. Don't look like the Astros are going to make it to the series either.

Speaking of the Braves, they are looking good in the postseason this year, epecially considering they almost didn't make the playoffs. I hope they win the national league, just because Chipper Jones in on the team. He is my best friends first cousin, so I kind of feel obliged to root for them. LOL

I think he was @ Richmond too.

I hope they win their league, and the Yanks (sorry) win theirs, and they play in the WS. I'm kinda torn between the sides.

The Braves are my team, but I'm sure NY is a sentimental favorite. I will probably be happy if the yanks take the series. Just this one time. ;)

My buddy keeps saying that one of these summers me and him are going to take a road trip down to Atlanta and catch a couple of Braves home games and hang out with Chipper for awhile. My friend spends about 2 weeks out of every summer down there with him, so maybe I will get to go sometime. I'd like to meet the guy, because he is a dang good player.
