Well, I see the 2020 Colorado has adjustment on the door pillar.  AND... So did the $90,000 Cadillac Escalade in the showroom.. WTF....

Likely due to the the now standard side curtain air bags in the roof/tops of the pillars. Belt anchor heights must conform to the fixed locations used during deployment or airbags during crash testing for safety certification.

Difference might have to do with the size, location and deployment of the side airbags in use.
