Voice comands not understood

If your voice commands are not understood when trying to dial a number by contact name only but you can still say the number and it works,  it may be  because of language barrier settings. Do this: go to settings, then language, then change the language from English to something else and then back to  English. This will fix that problem. Works on all infotainment systems 2014 to 2019 Chevy and GMC cars and trucks

Well I can’t ever find any of the language settings that understand me. I need something like Hick, Redneck, Hillbilly, Drunk, Angry Ahole, ect. not the Queens proper English, Frenchies, or Spanglish... 

 

Also tried talking like Mr. Reboto. That done didn’t works neither...

I'm English & can do a passable 'Queen's English', trust me the GM lady doesn't understand that. I've tried putting on an American accent, not understood.

Mrs Google understands me but the truck hasn't got a bloody clue. That leaves me hunting for contacts or music with the dials, nice safety feature. [emoji849]

Mine understands my voice fine, but not always what I tell it to do.  Ya know, like "decrease throttle lag" or "reduce torque management".  Even "set cruise control to 75" is not understood.  I think mine is defective too?

I have a super blah accentless voice much like the trucks speak to you in and I do speak clearly.  Garbage still can't understand me so you guys with thicker regional dialects have no hope in hell.

I have had the problem of the voice commands not allowing calling via name. i read in a previous thread that changing the language to french or spanish, exiting the system, then changing it back will fix the issue. i just did this and the system is fixed for now. up until now i have used the Andriod Car app for calling via voice activation as in GA it's illegal to hold a phone while driving and i ALWAYS obey the law! LOL

i will let you know if the issue comes back.
