Ackcap Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Ok guys, completely new to Chevy trucks so I'm looking to know what steps to take on this one. My 2018 Silverado 2500 6.0 with 16000 miles is currently on a flatbed to the dealership. I was driving along at 45 mph when loud ticking started coming from somewhere in the front. Both the check engine light traction lights started flashing and I lost almost all power. Pulled off immediately and shut it off. Could it be something relatively simple or are they going to say it needs to be rebuilt or something. Just trying to prepare myself for the the worst
CamGTP Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Your guess is as good as mine. Impossible to say or guess accurately to what may be the cause. You have a warranty, let them deal with it.
Ackcap Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 It's not going to the dealership I bought it from, is Chevy pretty good about honoring the warranty regardless of where I bought it?
CamGTP Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 It does not matter where you bought it. You could be half way across the country and any GM dealership would do the warranty work.

JD110 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 They have problems with valve springs and rocker arms breaking. Hopefully not a valve.
