steering wheel noise at low speeds

Mine is still creaking but I’m starting to think it might actually just be the extreme suppleness of these leather-wrapped steering wheels. My sales guy said they were hand stitched by Arabian kings. 
 

It’s either that or GM has some ****** steering columns.

2021 GMC Sierra 1500, Elevation Pkg.

Purchased: 11/2021, 5mi, currently at 6,100mi.

Noise first heard around 5k mi.

I have the same or similar noise in a 2023 sierra denali. Only happens at low speeds or when stopped and turning wheel hard right or left. Doesn't happen all of the time.  Just enough to drive me crazy. I recreated it once at gmc dealer. They could not recreate the noise while in for service. They have no idea what is causing it and act as though im the only one that has ever mentioned it.
