Lift kit height

Recommended Posts

I’m thinking of fitting 5 inch / 6 inch / 6.5 inch lift kit , tires will be 315 /75 / 17 .

Looking for some one with the same tires and any of the above lift as I have a constraint that the total height of the my Sierra should not exceed 2 meters ( work underground parking max height is 2 m ) . Need to decide which lift kit height to buy .

Appreciate if someone can guide me .

Thanks

You're going to be over 2m with all of these.  Sorry.

You're going to be over 2m with a 6 inch.

Thanks for the info , any idea how much over ? What if I got smaller tires ( 258 - 70 r17 ) ?

I have a 6 inch, and your tires are about an inch taller than mine.  I'm sitting at about 2.0574m.  I think you might even be pushing it with a 4" if trying to stick with that tire size.  Maybe size down?

Lift it 8", keep it at home. Then buy a used Chevy Cruise to commute to work with and fit in the parkade? I dunno man, you're in a pickle here. I know my stock height 2500 with a back rack cant go in most parking garages. I had to back down 2 floors when the roof clearance shrank in one garage and all the stalls were full. That was fun, with everyone pulling in behind me. I think my levelled Sierra on 33's is close to 2m tall. I will check it tonight after work.

Looks like a better option , use the other car and keep this one for the open roof trips . The issue I really like this car , the space the comfy , I like to drive it rather than the other car , I did some research and 6 inch kit with 285 tires is almost what I’m looking for - now I’m stuck with other issue , 6 inch lift kit requires 18 inch wheels or more and the the wheels I have is 17 inch - so still looking for a kit that allows 17 inch wheels
Thanks for the help .

I’m not sure where you guys are getting your numbers. My 2015 CCSB 4WD per the OEM description (new for 2015 pdf media file)  is 74 inches in height. The long bed is 73.8”

thats 4.75-4.95 inches from impact.

So No, No lift kit to still be able to drive into that garage.

I realize that 2M is the lowest point, somewhere, but still that’s awfully low. When is the last time you parked in a garage and were less that six inches from striking your head?

If there’s a speed bump in the parking garage, you’re done. I think you’re flirting with disaster.
