Does anyone have pictures or have done powder coating to their factory wheels? I'd like to do mine in black I have a 18 black crewcab Silverado.

I know I will get some that disagree but powder coat isn't the way to go. there are epoxy paints that are made for wheels and once cured strongest coating I have ever seen. It will hold up 100% better.

+1

I had some wheels powder coated a while back and they all had stress cracks in the powder in no time.  I just don't think powder coat is resilient enough to hold up on wheels.  It might have been the workmanship of my powdercoater (or the powder itself) but I don't think so....I've seen other wheels with cracks too.

Would a std paint shop be the place to go for this or is this more specialized?

I would thing a good automotive paint shop would know. The stuff the pros use works and goes on like normal paint and then a heat lamp cures it. I want to say it is like m123 or something. Only thing that hurta.or removes it is sand blasting or hitting curbs.
