mistermcgoo Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 When getting in my truck yesterday, I noticed that the plastic/rubber corner piece at the edge of my windshield is faded with water stains. I tried everything to clean it up to no avail. Looks like I may just have to order a new one. To be honest, I have no idea what it’s called and I couldn’t come up with anything after searching around on here. Does anyone know what it’s called? Or have a part number?

mistermcgoo Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 It's the black corner piece. MY164X4 was correct, I found a replacement on Ebay realatively cheap. It's ordered and on the way.. Now I wonder how much of a pain it is to swap out

DCazares Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Meguair's Ultimate Black linked above works great. I use it once a month on all black plastics and keeps them looking new.
TRICKsystems Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Automotive Glass Tech here, super easy to swap out if you find one. They have two metal retaining clips that go into the fender and a plastic slide into the main cowl. Just pull toward the center of the vehicle and up .

typ0 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I used this on some sun faded black plastic that came out looking new. Similar to the Meguiars posted above. https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-06112-Black-Plastic-Restorer/dp/B00GZLMEN4
