JACOB1557 Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Looking for a good replacement for the crappy exhaust system on my 90' C1500 TBI. All the way from the manifold to the cats and muffler and all the piping. Can anyone recommend anything that will sound good, give me performance gains, and will still be reliable? I want a clean system with no leaks, done right. Thanks
mikedeezxxx Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 I’d stick with the 90’s theme and go Flow Master. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
alpinecrick Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 A TBI 5.7 is rated around 195 hp and makes most of it's power in the lower RPM range. The factory exhaust (and intake) is more than enough flow for that motor with the possible exception of the muffler. If your exhaust system is wore/rotted out, I'd go with a Walker exhaust OEM style with an aftermarket muffler. Dynomax, Flowmaster, etc.
Bigfutz Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 I bought a ‘95 Tahoe 2-door that had Magnaflo dual exhausts installed. It sounds good... deep and throaty without being too obnoxious.
