Tonneau cover for CarbonPro??

Any CarbonPro owners out there who figured out a tonneau cover solution?  Apparently, the CarbonPro bed doesn’t have the rail necessary to mount any sort of cover. My local dealer had a call out to GM accessories corporate and am waiting to hear back.

Ha!  I wouldn’t have believed it myself. I went to my local dealer last week to buy the AT4 I had test driven the week prior. They had it pulled up all ready for me.  Then, they said, “Before you sign the paperwork, would you like to see the new CarbonPro version?  It just came in yesterday. There were only 150 CarbonPro AT4’s made for 2019.”  For once, I was actually in the right place at the right time.

What did the dealer say? I have the same problem

The dealer was baffled, had no idea. They said they would call GMC corporate to see if there were any known solutions. I decided to hold off on the tonneau cover and use that money to install the cold air intake instead. I go back next week for the install.  If I find anything else out about the tonneau covers and the CarbonPro bed, I’ll post it.

Congrats on the new truck. I did the same thing. While getting ready to buy a silver at4 the truck came in and brought 4 new ones. One was a carbon pro with 6.2 in black. I had to buy it.  I have modified a backflip cover once to work with a ladder rack on my tundra. I think it would not be a issue but I spoke with the people at backflip and they are working on one.if not out by October I will modify and post what I did.  They made one for the Honda Ridgeline that has no rail also. Works with screw locks. 

Did you get the kicker system in the tailgate?

The tailgate kicker system was factory on mine, but I had to add the tailgate step lights. I had negotiated the tonneau cover in the purchase price. Since they couldn’t install a tonneau, I had them install the cold air intake, they gave me a bed bag, and a refund check for the rest. For my purpose, the waterproof cargo bag is just fine, and LOVE the cold air intake!

Any updates on tonneau covers for the carbon pro?

Just bought a 2020 1500 and had no idea they ( the engineers )didn't think of this problem.

I used a clamp for a Tacoma with the side rail system. Drilled 1/2” hole in to the side Of the bed rail and inserted 350lb hollow walls. Now that I know it works I’ll probably install a unistrut side rail, secure it to the side with the hollow walls, and use strut nuts. 
It’s secure. 
 

GM told me sorry nothing out there yet. The tonneau mfgr. told me sorry and to return it. What I did works but lot of trial and error.

Thanks for the reply. So you'll replace the clamps with the hollow walls ?

I’ll just use the hollow wall anchors to mount the unistrut rail and then use strut nuts in the rail. It will look cleaner. Currently I have the clamps bolted in directly to the hollow wall anchors.

Just bought the Carbon Pro Denali and had no clue I couldn't put a revolver bakflip G2 cover on it like all my other GMC trucks. Same I called and GM hasn't figured out a fix yet. I also talked to my rep where I buy the covers and he said they are also looking into what kind of adjustments can be done.
