I really like the red Colorado Z85 regular cab with the color coordinated flares and front end. Looks nice and beefy.

I have a serious question. I noticed on Chevy's website that they list the spare tire for the Z71 as a 235/75 R15.(a 28.9" tire) The regular size tire for the Z71 is a 265/75 R15.(a 30.6" tire) Can this be right? Anyone who knows 4x4's knows that if you run different size tires you run a good chance of screwing up you locking dif. Or does Chevy expect it's customers to put the spare on the front and then move the front tire to the rear.

 

I'm sorry but there are quite a few things that stink about this new truck and the way GM is cutting corners.

There's many errors on that site.

 

Just look at the pics of the silver ZQ8s. The ZQ8 isn't even available in silver.

 

Take the site with a grain of salt.

 

 

And a lot of times, tire sizes on a 4WD or AWD vehicle are only critical when there is a viscous coupling or clutch pack in the transfer case.

 

The GMT-355 t-case is probably all mechanical, with a sliding clutch gear that engages the sproket that drives the front output.
