I have an '18 2500 gasser and the newest Haynes manual is for 2015-2016 2500 as well as 14-16 1500.

Is there a better manual available specifically for the 2500?

I've often thought about an ALLDATA DIY subscription for this but never tried it.

Haynes manuals are excellent for starting a campfire.  Nice thick paper, holds being crumpled well, stays where you put it and burns nicely.

For diagnosing and fixing your truck, either get a subscription to the full service manual (FSM) at various web sites (alldatadiy.com is one) or get the paper version (helminc.com, amazon, ebay).

The haynes manual is maybe 200 pages (being VERY generous), and a lot of it is just generic info that is the same in every book they publish.

The full-service manual for my '04 Sierra is 5 volumes of 1000+ pages each (it does cover 1500/25003500 & all the gas and diesel engines in the pickups).

The paper version is available from helm, so alldatadiy should also have it online, but I would double-check with them before paying for a subscription, as it takes a year or two before the FSM becomes available.

The 2018 manuals are now available at Helm (they weren't out the last time I looked)

Helm distributes the factory manuals for several manufacturers

https://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?Make=GMC&Model=SIER&Year=2018&Category=1&class_2=GMC&mk=GMC&yr=2018&md=Sierra&dt=Shop%2FService+Information&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=GMT18CKPU&itemtype=N

Same set does Denali, Sierra and Silverado.

They are pricey but very complete -- last set I had was multiple manuals that filled about 2 ft on the shelf and covered 15/25/35

That looks pretty decent for $20 for a year.
