I had a problem with the AVS in channel window deflectors preventing the windows from closing all the way due to the anti Pinch feature.  I have read of others having the same experience so thought Id post this info

I just installed the EGR in channel deflectors and they worked great

Figured people would want to know

Are those EGR’s the ones that extend down from the A pillar vertically?  Toward the mirror?

Have any pictures?

I got the ones on a gm website and the first time I put the driver side window up it went back down on its own. I put it back up slowly and then let the truck sit in the sun for a few hours and haven’t had any trouble since. Here’s a link to the ones I got.

I am thinking about the egr matte black in channel. im just not sure if I like the design that goes down past the mirrors instead of just staying on the top of the window. have you have the regular vent visors and just curious on what your opinion, pros or cons on the egr's?

I had the AVS style on my 2016 and liked them fine. The EGR on my 2019 doesn't have tape on the front ones only the back.  The front ones are held in by pressure which I like.  In my opinion the EGR ones are a bit higher quality then the AVS ones i had on my previous truck and I think its a personal pref as to styling but I had a lot of probs with the pinch feature on my truck using the AVS in channel style, the EGR ones I currently have have not had any issues with closing.

How do you like the part that runs down past the mirror? Do you like the looks of it? I’ve been contemplating on if I like that style or not. Also with the avs I had the same prob with the pinch feature of my 2017 and my 2019. On my 19 I pulled on them from the outside when installed. and the pinch feature rolled it down once maybe twice since June. On my 17 it happened all the time. Unless you hold the switch until it is fully up. I need to order today and quit changing my mind on what to get. Haha.

Does anybody feel like the EGR ones block the side view mirror?

How does the tape work in the back?  Is it just standard 3M tape on the body of the vehicle or something in channel to help it stay in place?

Not anywhere near interfering with the vision of either mirror.  The rear ones have a thinner dble sided tape vs the 3m they slide into the channels and do not stick to the body at all.

I have the AVS on my 19 Denali and initially did have the issue of them not wanting to close properly.  But as mentioned in another post I let it sit in the sun with the windows closed for a few hours and have not had any issues since.
