Front Driver side brake sticking

I have a 2007 Silverado Classic, Crew Cab 4x4.

I recently had all the brake lines, master cylinder, and  abs box replaced and the mechanic told me it was good to go. I left and about halfway home noticed that when I lifted from the gas it felt as though I was braking. The further I drove the more resistance I felt and before I got home it was very tight and smoking on the front driver side.

I called the mechanic, told him about it and he said it must be the caliper. I replaced the caliper and hose connecting it to the brake line. I drove it for about ten miles with no issue but after sitting in a drive thru for a few minutes and pulling back onto the road it started doing the same thing. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Been here many times.

1. Take the brake pads for the front, both sides and grind the tabs at the end and sides a little till they look flat. These are "Punched" steel

and often are NOT a perfect "tab" that fits in the stainless steel spring clip.

2. Lube the spring clip where the tab rides with a bit ( not much) never seize . Make sure the pads each SLIDE in the clips EASILY. If they don't, bend the clips, or grind the pads more.

3. Make SURE the caliper mounts ( with the rubber boot) allow the caliper to slide. May need a drop of hi temp oil or a dab of grease on the

caliper bolts.

4. IF all that is done correctly and the problem stays the same, you will have to get new caliper bracket(s)
