35x12.50R22 with factory wheels

I know this has been covered before I am sure, but I was wondering if anyone has run this setup on a level kit. Every shop where I am located is absolutely refusing to put it on  regardless of trimming needed to make it work. Heck I can’t really find a straight answer if it’s even remotely possible. If you or anyone you know has done this, I’ll take all the info and pics you’ve got. I can’t even get the shops here to commit to installing one of the no cut 3-4 inch lifts out there and I’m not mechanically talented enough to feel comfortable doing it myself.

On my truck, the 35" would not concern me as much as the 12.5 width.  I could not go any wider than what I have because of the upper control arm.  I can barely get my fingers between the tire and UCA.  Not sure if it's the same with the RST or not.  Might be worth looking at.

I did not realize this until it was pointed out to me on this forum.

You may need to purchase aftermarket UCA’s to gain a little more clearance.

Also depends on what wheels/offset you want to run. Do you want them sticking outside the truck or have them inside a little bit like the stock wheels look.

Thanks for the reply. I have the factory 6 split spoke 22’s and will run those for now. I’ve talked to every 4x4 shop we have locally and they all have different answers and are noncommittal to doing anything on these trucks. I’m assuming that’s just who I’m dealing with here, because I spoke to a shop out of state and he was an open book of information.

If I was in your shoes this is what I would do. I would run the ready lift 4.0 SST kit, $899 this kit will come with aftermarket UCA’s to help with angles and tire figment. It allows you to run a 35” tire with no cutting. BUT max width is 11.6” so I would not chance it running a true 12.5 wide tire. Lots of tire companies run small, do some research on their true tire size (YouTube has a lot of great videos for this). Other than that I do not see any issues, just don’t go too wide just to be safe.

good luck and hope to see pics of it up in the air!

I will definitely post pics of finished product. Just got it tinted with limo all the way around with 35% on the front windshield with a limo strip at the top. Was really worried about how it would turn out especially trying to see out of it but man let me tell you. It’s the best decision I made so far. I was really hesitant but now that I have adjusted to it, it makes driving directly into the sunrise every morning so much more bearable. Thanks again for the insight on my rig.

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
