Anyone with a Long Bed and a Tonneau Cover? I can't find any except what is on the GMC Accessories store. Interestingly, the ones in the store are the same as the 19/20 Sierra 1500 Long bed.

Please post pics and Model of what you have.

So here is what I've found in my research. Below are the relevant dimensions.

  2019 Silverado 1500 2020 Silverado 3500
Inside Length at Floor 98.18 (2494) 98.27 (2496)
Inside width, between wheelhousing 50.63 (1286) 50.55 (1284)
Wall to Wall, bed width 71.4 (1814) 71.4 (1814)

It seems that the 2019 1500 Long Bed covers should fit ours which I've confirmed with the Truxedo TruxPort 272201.

I'm NOT sure if ALL covers will fit though. My dealer called Retrax which said they're releasing a model that fits in 2 weeks. Bak and Pace Edwards did not give an ETA.

I'm only using this cover temporarily as I want to get a Pace Edwards UltraGroove but who knows when that is happening. They don't have that out for the 2019 1500 Long Bed either.

Anyone seen or used these Extang Hard Covers? They look well built and durable and at $678 not a bad price point, they have a good video demonstrating installation...

I would choose the one without the lock which is the one in the photo, remove that lock bubble for the clean look on the $678 model....

I've got one on my 09 dually but it's the toolbox version.  It has a lot more plastic on it than I'd like having paid $835 for it.  It also isn't made right for my truck.  The rear "clamps" don't hook on where they're supposed to according to the instructions or the manufacturer.  Supposed to be the correct one though so I don't know.  Works well enough that I still use it.  Been off and on my truck since April of 2019.

If you do get one make sure you shop around.  I saved almost $100 on mine by going through one of those deal sites, discount bandit.  Ultimately it was shipped from one of the aftermarket sellers.  If I remember right it was even cheaper than they were listing it on their own site too.

After a long wait.....The Bak x4 aluminum roll up cover is available and shipping. I’ll post pictures as soon as I have some daylight.

I had the X2 installed on my 14, and 16 Denali HD’s and loved them. Great cover with the best of hard and soft covers

Installed my Retrax the other day. Nice cover.  I wish they would combine the best features from theirs with the best from Roll-n-Lock...IMG_6605.thumb.jpeg.27935ef00b04d9cb08fc1b7a75b119af.jpeg

Witch one do you like the best. My 2020 DRW is being built next week. I wanted a Retrax power operated  but when I talked to them they said the motor they use   wouldn't handle a 8' cover. Cant  believe there motor is almost maxed out and couldn't handle another 15in of cover. They don't sell enough to build them, every one buys a truck with half a  bed, then wonders why there trailer hit the back of the cab.

8 foot is too hard to drive.  It's too long.  It doesn't fit in the garage... :)

I had the Roll-n-Lock way back on my 2008 Silverado Long Bed.  I really liked the locking mechanism and that it retracted like a window shade. The Retrax fit and finish is much nicer, but the locking mech is not as nice, and it needs to be pushed to open.

And they do fit in the garage. Chevyguy85 just has the wrong garage :).

All good reasons to buy half a bed truck .Lol

Those aren't my lame excuses.  I have a dually so I've got a real bed.  I can't go back to a short bed.  Besides I always have a tool box so I guess I have a short box anyway.
