DPF check engine error

New 3500 Diesel Tradesman with 25k miles.  Service performed according to manual to date (oil filter and fuel filters).  Check engine light just came on and flashing DPF error.  Not throttled down YET and dealer says no service slots for a week? Just bought truck in August.  What to do now? Park on side of the road? Is this a common issue?

do you or your buddies have access to a hand held scan tool or autozone or advanced auto close by? you can reset it to get you going again, might last a couple miles, might clear and be fine.
