Ticking noise

I recently bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ and ever since I’ve had it it’s had this ticking noise and it sounds like it’s coming from the display. It’s a constant tick and I have no clue what it could be

There's a good chance that you're hearing an engine issue, or an exhaust manifold leak. I'd pop the hood and take a listen.

There is also a recent thread where a user actually kept a log of all his trips to get a similar noise fixed with no luck.  He ended up sending an email or something like that (don't think he actually gave his actually his way to fame).  His result was a hefty cheque from GM, and he got to keep the truck with no mention of  GM's involvement at all, on any level.  He was free to do with what truck as he wished.
