sk
Well since others brought up these ideas you could go with these ideas. A custom-fit air mattress for the bed: https://www.truckairbedz.com/ A bed tent: https://www.napieroutdoors.com/product-category/truck-tents/ Or if you want to sleep in the cab you can even get a custom air mattress for that (also from AirBedz): https://truckairbedz.com/Backseat-Mattress

Cpl_Punishment
Where's @Wiggums? I think he had plans to sleep in his short bed.
TLDLTD
I wouldn't want to do it under my tonneau. Other trucks with a camper shell no problem, but I'd feel like I was in a coffin under the tonneau cover. No kidding lolI have claustrophobia bad and just the thought of it makes me anxious. Haven't gotten around to it, I was going to use it daily at the ranch but I've been using the F-250 instead. The Chevrolet now sits in Dana Point. I barely drive it, it still has only 2,700 miles after nine months. I keep thinking it has at least 3,000 miles on it. No tonneau on it, was going to do it but now I'm not sure if I want to keep the truck at the ranch. We'd go out in the desert in Ocotillo Wells and go four-wheeling. Others had tents, I used the back seat instead. It's not too bad. Edited November 24, 2019 by Wiggums
OJ Juice
A little late to the party, but I am planning a move to Alaska and am planning on sleeping in the bed of my truck once in awhile along the way. I'm getting a bedrug and will be using a backpacking mattress on top of it. I've used it multiple times already for camping and its like sleeping on a really strong bubble wrap. Price range is around $30. Do a quick search on amazon. You will not be disappointed after using this. You just blow it up and when you are done, just deflate it, roll it up, stick it in the pouch, and put it in your backpack. I'm sure the bedrug will suffice alone. Go this route if you need extra cushion.
