hi i have a silverado 2010 ls 4.8 with 78k mile,i have this truck since 2012 and it alway served me good but now i got some starting problem since colder temperature is starting (i live in north canada).

last week i drove for about 1hour and stopped at the gas station, when i came back in the truck  to start it didnt. The heat was working, all the light and even the radio, when i turned the key light didnt flicker or reduce.when i said it didnt start i mean when i turn the key to start i didnt do anything,no sound to tick no starting sound at all.i disconected the batterie and it did nothing.so i searched on these forum and some people said to turn the key to start for 5-10min and re try it.it worked and i went home.

The next day i changed the battery bc it was and old batterie.3 day later same thing, run the truck for 20min went home and 5min later didnt start again so i tried to hit the starter with someone, bosted with a other truck and nothing.next day in the morning it started but with difficultie.so now the truck is at a friend mecanic house but he cant get it to do it again.where do you think i should look in the wierd case?

Check the cables at both ends, looking for split insulation with white powder present.  Also remove and clean both ends of cables.

When you say you turned the key to start for 5 to 10 minutes, what do you mean? Did you install one of the new technology lithium iron batteries?

ok so its been a couple of day and my truck is parked at my mecanic and he cant replicate the probleme...ive been driving the truck all morning and he start fine.i checked both ground and they seem ok,no white powder like you said no corrosion visible anywhere.Idont rememeber what is the battery but its the best one i could buy at the part store.Since the problem occured with the old and the new battery i dont think the battery is the problem but ill check the end of the cable like you said.

For the key,i mean i put the key in the ignision, turned it to see all the light in the dash but doenst started it,i read it sometime restart the theft systeme, ans after 5min i just started it.

What you are describing is putting the ignition key in the "run" position.  For whatever reason people have a hard time describing a no start condition.

Try this, get in your truck, leaving the door open, and insert your key.  You should hear the key in ignition/door open warning and the dome light should be on.  Turn the key to the run position and stop.  You should have a few warning lights on, and dome light should still be on.  While watching the dome light, turn the key to start.  If the truck starts, you will have try again later.  If the truck does not attempt to start, what did the dome light do?  If you have a bad connection, the dome light will usually turn off instantly, as opposed to fading away.  If the light stays on, and engine does not crank, move shifter to neutral and see if it cranks over now.  If it does, it is likely neutral safety switch out of adjustment.

Good Luck

Not going to try to understand your poor english composition and the problems description.
