Outside temperature indicator

Anyone else have issues with the indicated outside temperature?  Mine will say 10-20 degrees warmer than the real outside temp.  I'm in Colorado and today it indicated 42 degrees and the outside temp according to my phone app (Weather Channel) was 26 degrees.  I had been driving the truck for almost a half hour so it had time to adjust after being parked.  It seems that the warm sun causes the sensor to send an incorrect temp.  The sensor must be located where it gets warm and sends an incorrect reading.  My car and my previous F150 were spot on.

I'm taking the truck in next week to have the seat belt tensioner recall done and will ask the service advisor about this issue.

Are you out and about driving around and look or right when you start it?

I know if I get in, start it and check the temp it is WAY off, but it has not calibrated yet. I give it 5 min and it is pretty close.

Think of it like this, it’s sitting inside of a black housing, so if the sun is on it constantly with no wind going by, it’ll read way warmer. Accurate temps will happen when it’s driven
