2016 Silverado key fobs suddenly not working

this morning I remote started my truck to warm it up, and everything was fine.

This afternoon, I noticed my fob wasn’t Doing anything (lock/unlock/start all not working). Assumed my fob battery may be dead, but when I got home and tried my spare fob....same thing. I assume my spare battery isn’t dead because It just sits in a drawer and has been used (and worked) MAYBE 10 times, and I bought the truck new. Also The lock button in the cab works just as it should.

figured it could be something internal And maybe I need to recalibrate? Or maybe I’m thinking way too much into this and both batteries just happened to die at the same time lol.....

Usually you have a CEL on or a code that has been tripped for the remote start not to work. The other symptoms are something I have not experienced.

Are you still on the original battery (car, not fob)? They do strange things when the battery starts going bad.

Update for those who may run into this issue -

I unplugged the ground from the truck's battery last night for about 45 seconds and reconnected to reset the ECU.

Where it gets weird is - i tried the fobs again last night after that, and still nothing. Woke up this morning and curiously tried to remote start and voila! it worked just fine. No issues with anything today and both fobs are miraculously working again. very strange.....
