Remote start heat inop

So when its cold out and I use remote start my truck reverts to however i left the climate control. I have it set for the heated seats to come on and they do not. The heat reverts to however it last was when it was shut off. When hot, it works as it is supposed to and cooled seats come on but cold does not (its been in the teens so it has environmentally cool enough).

 

Any suggestions on where to start to troubleshoot?

Do you have it set up in the radio settings (MyLink)?

 

Just leaving it on before you shut the truck off will not automatically make it work on the next start up.

I think it is either in the comfort and convenience settings or the remote start setting in the radio. Make sure the turn on heated seats with remote start is checked. As for the heat tap the auto button and it should try to get to that temp.

If your looking at the lights on the buttons to see if they come on during remote start mode, you won't see any indicator light even though they are on. This is normal. Also, when it's very cold and no one seated in them, these new seat heaters don't do much more than take the chill off.  My 2001 truck would roast your ass if set to high.

I have that selected they just dont come on. everything works as it should when its hot, AC, vented seats just not on the cold side.

Answer - it’s normal

 

The setting doesn’t do squat on my ‘14 as well
