Should be able to call a junkyard and they have the interchanges and know what will and won't interchange if they know what they're doing in the industry.

Are you just replacing a axle, wanting to change gearing? Doing this for a particular application such as racing, trying to gain something with a gear swap?

Back in 05 when I had a 88 Chevy 4wd with x.xx. rear end (tag on axle diff generally) I just called my salvage lot and and gave them the axle information and picked up the rear diff assembly.

When I swapped the axle out I just took them the old one back and got my core return fee back.

The diff / axle assembly I got had the axle shafts in it already and was ready to go. I just had to get U-Bolts and any needed replacement brake lines, etc due to rust, breakage.

You'll more than likely need to swap the yoke over off of the old to the new one.

Hope this information helps you.

Needs to be a 2007.5 to 2013 axle because of the ABS system.

It's normally easier to just purchase the gear set and swap them. If you have 3.42's the only real other option that you will find are 3.73's. If you swap just the gear you can do whatever you want, like 3.90's or 4.10's.

You don't specify 2wd or 4wd so if it's 4wd just remember the front gear ratio need to match the rear.
