Add HUD buttons???

My 2020 Sierra SLT has the heads up projector in the upper dash, but I don’t have the HUD buttons / controls below the speedo/tach cluster.   If I get too close to another car, it projects the triple red light warning on the windshield while the seat alert buzzes.  Since the projector is in place and functional, is it possible that the HUD wiring is behind the dash just waiting for a set of buttons to make it fully functional?  Could it be that simple?

The projector for the forward collision alert is not the same as the HUD. The HUD projector is much much bigger and requires a totally different upper dash pad. The HUD windshield is also different with a coating that allows the image to be displayed clearly with no ghosting.
 

In short, the parts list is a lot longer than the switch.
