12v constant ignition sources?

Recommended Posts

Whats up guys. Hoping someone can help me out. I need to rewire a few things (wideband, under the dash lights, etc.). I have them on an ignition source in the junction box behind the E brake. The problem with it is that it turns off when you start the truck. This causes my wideband sensor to go through 2 heat cycles before reading. So I need to wire it up to a key on source that doesnt turn off when cranking and possibly turns on when you remote start the truck. Is there anywhere known that I can tap into?

Only one I can think of is the for the accessory plugs in the center console. The 50 amp is always hot, but you can move it from position 10 to 11 to make it only work with the ignition.

You are very welcome.

I will check my Escort 360, to see if it stays constant when I turn the truck on, pretty sure it does.

I believe it in the fuse box on the drivers side, inside of the cab.
Yep I found it but it also turns off when you start the truck. I ended up having to tap off of fuse 23 (3 pronged 10 amp fuse) which is IPC ignition/SDM ignition. It turns on with ignition but doesnt turn off when cranking. It also works when the truck remote started.

Thanks for the good information.

Glad you were able to make it work.
