2014 OnStar not working

I recently purchased a 2014 Silverado and would like to use the OnStar app but noticed the light on the mirror was not on and the onstar app on the radio was grayed out. was wondering if someone maybe removed the module or if there is a way to disable/enable it?

Do you have a current subscription with On Star? Their services are not free.

The module was probably removed. Even if you dont have a subscription it would not be greyed out and the light would be on. You should be able to push the button on the mirror and reach an onstar person.

You need a telematics module, not too uncommon.
