Okay guys I have the weirdest issue. I did an oil change. Maybe about 3 weeks ago myself. I reset the oil change interval light and let it be. Well about 7 days later I checked the light and it only went down to 99%? I thought that was odd would be a little lower I think. I let it be. Check it again 2-3 days later down to 97% okay cool it’s moving. I check right now. It’s at 99%???? Wtf

Well, let me ask you this. Does your truck have the in-cluster DIC or not?

In-cluster DIC, get it to display oil life, and hold your center button on the right side of the steering wheel.

For ones without the DIC screen, you do the old school 3 full depressions of the accelerator with the key in the "on" position.

For either version, the accel pedal method works.

In any case, you should hear a *beep* and see the oil life go to 100%.

It calculates oil life based on your driving.

I have the one in the screen. I have reset it plenty of times before and it goes down about 1-2% each day i drive. How can it still be at 97%  after 3 weeks of driving. Then shoot back up to 99%??

Been doing highway driving? It's an adaptive system.

Same driving as usual, about 12 miles of 45-50mph on a freeway every day.

The ONLY thing that changed from this oil change from all others was i switched from 0W-20 to 5W-20... That couldn't have made a difference??
