I have a new 131 mile, less than one week Silverado Trail Boss 5.3l and the truck would not start.

Four tries with the key, a remote start attempt and just engine cranking.

Called On Star and asked to have it towed.  Sat for about ten minutes and tried again.

This time it started but a check engine light was set.

I had it towed anyway.  Dealer said the fuel pump module was bad but truck is running and they cleared the code.

GM agreed to replace the module.

Anyone else have a bad fuel pump module?

Well it looks like no one else has this problem.  Dealer has the part on order.

Truck is running.

Word for word same issue except at 1,600 miles.  Not giving me confidence in the truck.

Module was replaced and the issue has been resolved.

Check engine light came on my new 2020 Trail Boss at 950 miles. Diagnostic test pointed to the fuel pump. The dealership is replacing the fuel pump. I'll let you know what happens.

I had that issue but didn't know it. Had it in for the hard shift. Code came up at the dealer. So fuel pump was replaced under warranty took them more than 2 wks to get part and fix.

2020 trail boss 6.2 175 miles on it.  I just drove it home from the dealer and it wouldn't run the next day.  They hauled it back to the dealer yesterday and waiting to hear the results.

Haven't seen fuel modules be a major issue since the early GMT-800s.. (99-03s/04s)

I have a brand new 2019 GMC SIerra Elevation with the exact same problem.

Dealer fixed and replaced the pump but now the pressure sensor is being replaced as it has now thrown a code this weekend.

Will let you know how this goes.

I just received my truck back and they replaced the fuel control module.  Hopefully it holds up.

Sounds like GM got a batch of faulty ones.

I had the same issue pop up after 500 miles. My truck has been at the dealer since May 7th and still no part. About to make my second payment on a truck that hasn't been in my garage for just under 7 weeks.
