Im replacing my idler arm and bracket. How tight should I put the nut onto the idler arm bracket. And how easily should the idler arm swing? I cant seem to find any info on google for it...

When I replaced mine in my '04 Sierra, I also couldn't find any info about that nut, it's not in the full-service manual.  The FSM assumes it's a unit already.  I think I picked the same value or a bit more as the idler to center link nut.

The new one was very stiff to move (a Moog one).

Just curious. Did the old one make any noise when it went bad? I am trying to get my 94 K-1500 back on the road after sitting awhile and one issue I had before I let her sit was on occasion I would get this groan, usually when going up hill, turning a little. It was random and not very often but I never could figure it out. Sometimes it was a god awful groan whether in 4 wheel or 2 wheel. I need to do the ball joints most likely but not sure that could make this noise.

idler arm mount to frame =73 lb

idler arm to center link =46 lb

Where did you get this value (for idler arm to mount)?  It's not in my full-service manual(or perhaps, I didn't see it when I looked, in the table with the other values you listed)..
