GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, SLT, AT4 LED taillights onto Elevation trim model

I have a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation - love the truck but I wish it had the LED taillights in it like the SLT, Denali and AT4 models do. Has anyone tried putting the LED taillights onto the elevation model? I have done so research and from the part schematic diagrams I have seen it looks like they would fit. I’m just not sure if the LED taillights need any additional drivers to power them. Any input on this is greatly appreciated!!

Is this an LD (old body style) 2019? The new body Elevation is supposed to already have LED taillights.

It's a 2019 new body style Elevation. It has the C shaped LED Light but the brake light and reverse light are halogen.

An easy fix is to order some LED's from someone like Lasfit. You can replace the reverse lights, as well as license plate lights for about $40 total. Only takes about 10 minutes to pop out and pop in.

I'm bumping this to see if anyone has successfully swapped the tail lights.. I'd love to order the AT4 / Denali tails and put them on my elevation.. just don't want to start digging if the harnesses don't match and etc. Anyone? Thanks!

So I ordered the upgraded LED tails, with the harness from an OEM GM store online. .. I ordered the conversion harness from Gen5diy.com .. utilizing both, it was plug and play and they work perfectly. I just had to mount the resistor from the gen5DIY harness up tucked in the back of the truck. That's my only real bug or concern. They look great! .. I'll have to grab some photos at some point.

I put LED headlights (hi and lo beams) in my 2500 LT 2020 model and now have LED reverse lights in 2021 GMC Sierra elevation ....take out old bulb plug in new....no harness, non GM spec part......super easy

There are ton of kits on Amazon that sell LED for halogen housings....ive had 0 issues.....lights that use amber or red lens doesn't make huge difference like white lights do

Disappointing GM can't put an LED Bulb in all lights on 55k truck (easy fix we shouldn't have to do)...especially when 20-30k cars have them....to owner of GM your welcome for fishing boat you bought saving money in trucks lighting that should already have it, lol

WT possibly is only truck should come with halos, rest should be LEDs and better versions in higher trims....when 1 starts doing it they all will

Just wondering if they're still working great without any issues and wondering if you have any pics?
