Coolant loss

So I have a 04 1500 and I'm noticing alittle coolant loss anyone on here experienced this all info will help

Could be more than one thing.

 

Like it's leaking from somewhere, maybe the radiator or the water pump. Some of those leaks can dry up before they reach the ground.

 

If you notice none of that it would be eating the coolant through a bad head gasket or bad cylinder head itself. I believe the 2003-2005 trucks are the most prone to the castech cylinder head issue.

Man I hope not that's probably not cheap to fix. It's going to the shop next week for a few other things I am going to have them do some test

Like stated above it could be the castech head issue.  There tons of threads on this.  Just Google castech head leak.

So I had a cooling system check were they did a combustion check and check the exhaust for coolant and found nothing????? They said they found a hose I think it's the pressure hose or something, the one little one that runs from the reservoir to the radiator. They said it was routed wrong what Does not make sence

Get an inspection mirror (or inspection camera) and look at the bottom of the water pump to see if there are dried up residue lines of coolant seeping past the water pump to block gaskets.  For some reason, the factory gaskets like to begin leaking after many years of service.  I had to replace mine (a 99 Silverado 5.3L) in 2016.  The polymeric sealing material was separating from the steel gasket body.

It can be possible for the engine to eat coolant but not pressurize the cooling system and send exhaust gases into the coolant.
