Headlights/Fog lights

I have a 2015 gmc sierra sle double cab. I bought a set of LED headlight and fog lights. The heights were dim as all hell and just plain old sucked, and died just after the year warranty. The fog lights were good, bright and helpful. Today, my buddy pointed out one fog light came out of the housing. When I went to put it back I noticed it was broken, so I turned them on and only half the bulb worked. I'm trying to find a set of LED or HID lights that will be the best fit and look and brightness for the projector headlight housing I have with DRL. I looked into uograded to the 2016 LED housings and it was like $1200 per housing from GMC. 

 

Any thoughts or ideas?

Morimoto makes a hid kit that works great in these trucks, try using the search for this topic. Already tons of topics and info on lighting for these trucks.

If you want to go LED check this out first, most LED retrofits will not work properly in a projector housing, will fit and light, just not project a proper pattern, especially with projector lenses with shutters to cut off the high beam.

 

Halogens and HIDs are better designed for projector lenses because they provide a discrete point source filament/arc whereas LEDs do not.
