Bluetooth issues VERY ANNOYING

I have an iPhone if you are wondering 

 

Issue #1

 

if I try to give blue tooth directions through the button on my steering wheel such as “call wife” it makes the noise but literally never works. I have to pick up my phone (illegal in my state) and hold the home button and use Siri that way.

 

issue#2

 

40% of the time when I get into my truck it syncs with my phone and starts playing the same song.. it’s always the same exact damn song from my music.. always... the... same

I don't have a solution but Apple or Android?  I stream everything so bluetooth (when I seldom use it because of the ringer issue) works fine.  Does streaming work?

My phone also does that with Siri, but only occasionally. Could be a software issue with iPhone, make sure you are up to date on the latest updates.

Does the song that it plays start with the letter “A”? It is probably playing the song you have downloaded that is the first in your library... if you are using Apple Music. If this is the case there is a song in Apple Music called A a a a a Very Good Song, it’s 10 mins of silence so music doesn’t start playing immediately. It gives you time to select the music you want and not listen to the same song every tile you turn your car on.

If  it plays the same song will it be possible that you have accidentally press the repeat song button on your smartphone? What model of iPhone is it? I have decided to use an Android device after having a lot of issue with Apple products including the bluetooth connectivity with not just my car but so as with wireless speaker.
