Turn 2019 LT Z71 into Trial Boss?

I too just bought a Z71 LT with 265/65/18, i put the GM level kit in it, but it still seems low with the running boards on it. I'm looking at bigger tires, but we seem kinda limited in sizes. What larger size tires has everyone seen on these 18" rims?

You think you limited.... Serria need a 6 inch lift AND trimming to do a 35....

You can do 37 with the same lift kit.

My stock size is 33", up until 6 inch kits that's as large as I can go.

(Can't trim due to the gunk they throw on the road and the uncoated frame)

Looks a bit nose high, I'm sure it isn't, just looks that way.

Love the look though. Was it a spacer in addition to the GM lift?

How did the ride quality change going from a Z71 to the Trail Boss suspension? Like in what ways is it different.

The kit did add more rake to mine. I never measured to see what leveling kit would be best for my rst. Here's a pic of it on level ground. Rides nice in my opinion but this is my first lifted truck. Everyone says the TB ranchos are junk...?

The kit did add more rake to mine. I never measured to see what leveling kit would be best for my rst. Here's a pic of it on level ground. Rides nice in my opinion but this is my first lifted truck. Everyone says the TB ranchos are junk...?

What I found is it really depends on what you're driven and what you've not driven for instance for me although I recognize that a linear spring is much more predictable I actually prefer a variable rate spring such as a dual rate or, in Chevy's history, a torsion bar.

a lot of people said the 2019 trucks are jiggly and this is true at 30 miles an hour I definitely felt a little jiggle even on a non Max tow truck but here in Alaska with a lot of random dips at highway speeds and Crest and double bumps, don't forget frost heaves. The ride is extraordinary well-controlled on the base 4X4.

in contrast my X31 is incredibly smooth at 30 miles an hour, no juggle whatsoever, however at 60 to 70 miles an hour over those same bumps the suspension bottoms out or overextends.

I also feel the need to point out that the 2019 AT4 and Trail Boss suspension is different then the 2020 version. The shocks are tuned differently to allow more medium to high speed trail running.
GM made this change directly in response to Media feedback that the back end was too Skippy on washboards with the 2019 model.

I suppose I should just go to a dealer and drive a Trail Boss model and I'll know since I commute on roads near the dealership what the actual difference is.

The front is a tad nose-low actually. Yes, the level kit is just a preload spacer under the coilspring. The ride to me is virtually the same as stock. I'm happy with it.

Looks great! I would like this exact stance. Just debating on this kit or the Eibach pro truck kit. For your additional 1.5”, did you just use a spacer? Did you install the amp steps? I’m looking into getting those.

The 1.5" leveling kit is just a Rough Country spacer kit. Yes, I installed the Amp steps myself - piece of cake.

z71 are junk....TB ranchos are the better ones

Anyone looking to purchase the GM 2" lift kit from Bill Cramer Chevrolet won't go wrong. I too was skeptical but called them with my VIN and they squared me away. Everything arrived just as they said it would, but faster. Even though they have the best prices in the country, it's a little more than the aftermarket kits. Remember that you're paying to make this kit a part of your truck backed by GM, just as if you bought it from the dealer that way. That was money in the bank for me.

Superlift, BDS, and Zone all have policies that if their lift kit caused damage they cover it.

Nothing wrong with the GMPP kit.

But want to make sure people understand that installing a lift doesn't void any warranties.

The damage would have to be SOLELY (i.e directly) caused by the lift, and GM would have to PROVE it. They don't get to just say it isn't covered, they must prove it.

On the rare situation where that happens that's where Superlift, BDS, and Zone would step in. I believe Rough Country has something similar.

This looks great. The GM 2' lift kit re-calibrates the electronics/camera for LTZ safety features, and I'm not sure how things work with the additional front level....?
