No trailer attached. Yes it is!

My Infotainment system does not recognize my trailer being attached until at least 30 minutes or more into my trip! Anyone else had this issue? What was the fix?

I had/have a similar on my 20 on a few occasions. For whatever reason, it has not repeated itself -yet.

Verify your trailer ground wire is clean and connected to trailer frame. Seems to be related to sensing current. If the controller doesn’t sense ground current via the wire (as opposed through the trailer ball) there can be issues.

Believe there is another post detailing this.

Thanks! Would be nice if you could find the post that you mentioned!

can you direct me to the post outlining the issue and fix please, I've seen this on my 20 as well. Not every time, but now and again.

thanks, for some reason that didn't show up when I searched the exact term

I searched it like this, "no power to trailer lights site gm-trucks" to search this site, not the entire internet.
