Trail Boss Readylift 2.0 SST tires?

Recommended Posts

So... a bit frustrated and need to vent. Have the big leveling kit from ReadyLift. Did a ton of research and confirmed the wheels and tires I could use and would want. Wanted the max height and width and followed all of the recommended specs to make that decision. Came in today and guess what. They don’t fit. Truck is new 3000 miles and not willing to trim. Fortunately I bought everything locally and they are working with me but everything needs to be ordered and possibly restocking fees plus remount and re-balance.  I really wanted that look that I've seen from the research, with tons of examples of the identical set up, and now I wont have that.

Set that failed XD842 20x9   0 offset   295/65R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler 35.12 x 11.77  Rubs front and back

What would you guys do?

295/60R20   33.94 x 11.77

285/65R20   34.80 x 11.50

That sucks as Ready Lift says what you bought should fit your truck with SST kit - Trail Boss - Max tire 295/65-20, 20x9 0 offset wheel  - so the tire should fit.

Pulled up this tire size converter and 295/65/20 converts to - 35.1 x 11.6 x 20 - so in theory - the 285 should fit - but the 11.77" widthin of the 295 may be a problem.

Here is trim guide posted by another member - that is a good gauge and they will give you a lot of info. on options that may or may not need trimming - which I saw you don't want to do.  He addresses both wheels and tires - as not all are created equal - so one may work when another wont.

Good luck -

35 11.50 20. Is  34.7 x 11.2

285 65 20.   Is   34.8x11.5

You have  295 65s.   35.1 x 11.7

So to stay a tire around that size the 285 65 would do but will it help with only being 1/2 inch  narrower and a little more than 3/8 of an inch shorter

After that is 295 60 20 but thats still 11.7 wide but only 34 tall.   I run those now with a 3 inch.
