I wanna tow more, what do i replace? i have 2014 5.3 crew short box sle no max towing. Can I just replace gears? what else do i need

Nothing to replace.  What's on the sticker for your truck is what you can tow with it.  Bolting on bigger springs or air bags or anything else can't change that number.

Gearing has lots to do with tow rating. I use to change my gearing on my automatics so they wouldn’t down shift so much. They were mostly use for towing. Most higher tow ratings are cooling packages and gearing.
