My headlighs are always on, how do I turn them off?

Depends on what kind of truck you have Don.  Year, make and model?

I do not like the DLR`s either. Here is a solution for the issue from Gen5DIY. I should of got the cable with the LED turn signal mod as well. Will modify my cable when it warms up again so I can use that feature. Once that was done I changed the 1990`s headlight bulb solution to GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0 LED lights. Best LED solution out the and I have not been flashed by on coming drivers

So your saying owners can modify the OEM switch. Show us how without pulling fuses , pulling brake wires, etc and not permanently damaging switch and voiding warranty.

My experience with GMC/Chevy DRL mods will require a relay to make this work. Older "96" vehicle had a rectifier your could pull and then add relay to circuit.

We would love to see instructions on how to do this.

This switch?

ACDelco D1525J Dimmer Switch

You can remove it from the dash. Remove the back of the switch. Remove the spring that returns the knob to auto. Did my 12. Easy.
