Had the same issue with my iPhone 11 pro max in my 19 Sierra. Wife's iPhone XR does the same thing. It also does it in her 2018 Traverse. I put IOS 14 beta on my iPhone and no longer have the issue in either my truck or wife's Traverse. Wife's iPhone XR on IOS 13 still has the issue. Must be an Apple issue. IOS 14 has some issues so  don't use it if you need a stable phone.

Totally agree.

I was thinking an update issue as well.  Hopefully sorted out in the next update.

Same problem here. iPhone 11 Pro. I’m betting it’s a software issue. Have the same problem in the house charging it wirelessly. It’s not the hardware in the truck. I’m hoping ios14 fixes it.

So im wondering if i should take my truck in tomorrow or cancel the appointment. The new new BCM is in but is there a point to replacing it if its an apple software issue.

I’d tell the dealer about this and see what they think (may be worth a shot in the dark)

Last week it would fail to charge 9/10 times. Between replacing the pad and an iphone update (13.6), fails to charge 3/11 times.  Just stopped by the dealership to ask them about software and the guy tried his samsung. It worked 5/5 times.  He is going to confirm with the tech tomorrow to see what they think as they use a box almost like a voltage meter that detects if its working or not.

I’m downloading the update now and I’ll check it tomorrow.

Did the update and tried it. It charged 4/10 times.

No change in mine. Doesn’t charge more than it charges. My son can put his iPhone XS on it and it works fine. He is running Same updated software. Same case no issues. I think it’s a hardware problem with the iPhone 11 Pro.

Same as mine. 13.6. He did the update as well. I tried his before the update and his charged fine. The funny thing is mine phone worked all the time when I first got it back in October. Then something happened along the way. It’s weird. I have to try my wife’s iPhone tonight when o get home. She has an 11pro she just got last week.

I have not had this issue with my 11 pro max/truck. Just did a 200 mile road trip today and no issues. Phone was 25% when I started, and 100% when I got home. Hope it stays that way!

Could it have something to do with the optimizing setting? I’m going to turn mine off and find out.

    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
    • Atlas, you kill me As aggravating as a project like this can be you have been unable to hide your fascination with learning and using that angst against this beast like a Ninjitsu Master. It amuses you, admit it now.      BTW, love your writing style. 😉
