I have a 2019 High Country that Ive had for 8 months and up until about 2 months ago the wireless charging worked flawlessly. About 2 months ago i noticed that the phone would start to charge, then after about 5-10 seconds it would stop charging. I would have to pick the phone up and put it back down about 8-10 times to get it to keep charging. Then after I’d pick it up and then when I’d put it back down I’d have to go through the whole 8-10 pick up put down routine again for it to stay charging. It doesn’t matter if the phone is in the case or not. I have the same issue with my wife’s iPhone 11 Pro-Max. I took it to the dealer Monday and the techs iPhone had the same issue, however another techs android charged flawlessly. I’ve talked to a few other people recently who are having the same issue and are saying it’s an apple iPhone issue and not a GM charger issue. Does anyone else have any knowledge of this?

I'm having the same issue in my 2018.  Worked perfectly up until a couple months ago and now it's very hit or miss.  I'll keep watching this thread to see if anyone has an answer.

I've noticed with my 19 HC in the last month or so it stops charging and then starts again, the phone screen will turn on when it starts again and the phone makes a chime when it starts again. I thought it was just me!

It has to be an update thing

Totally agree.

Totally agree.

I called apple to ask if it might be on their end. They said it is possible and they’ve gotten similar calls recently from people with all different brand vehicles. Hopefully apple releases another update to fix this if that’s the case.

Not that it should matter too much since it worked before but have you tried it without the case?

Same issue with my 19 AT4. Truck is being fixed as i type this...well kinda.  Truck went in this past thursday. They said its the wireless pad. So they got a new one next day. Called me saying they replaced the pad, still not working so they have to order a new body control module, which came in yesterday. Truck is booked to go in tomorrow to have that swapped out.

It does not work with or without the case

I've had this problem too.  I have found two things that work.  One, I reverse the plug at the phone end.  Two, I use the USB port in the back of the console.  That one always works, although now you can't use CarPlay, which I only use for Maps, which is almost never.  I also find that the phone charges if I turn it on after I plug it in.  It's when I just plug it in that it won't charge.

When they had mine in there for it they had some frequency receiver module checking to see if the wireless charger was operating properly and according to that module receiver thing it was.

Do me a favor and let me know if that fixes the issue

I’m talking about wireless charging, not using any plugs or outlets
