I have an 07' Silverado newer non Classic and got DTC P0121 Throttle calibration out of range. Cleaned the throttle body and cleared the code. Truck now has really high idle in park and won't relearn under the 3 min run, 60 sec off, 3 min run solution. Drove it to a hwy and at a red light in drive the idle came down to 600rpm. Drove down the hwy going above and below 45mph got back home came to a stop the idle is 600rpm put it in park and it goes back up to 2500rpm? Anyway to perform idle relearn without a high scan tool that can perform that function. Maybe disconnect the battery or just drive it around until it learns? Any help would be appreciated!

Can try disconnecting the battery for a half hour or more. If that doesn't work, you'll have to drive it like that for quite some time before the computer relearns.

Another GM brainstorm - a few other model lines are like this as well. Dumb engineering.

JSdirt, thanks for the info, I didn't want to drop 500-1000 bills on a bidirectional scanner or pay a shop the same or more to do an idle relearn and get told "We also had to replace the reverse osmosis gonkulator inline accumulator check valve to fix the idle so the total bill after giving you a break on the parts is $1823.69 and that's got er purrin' like a kitten for ya".
