leaf spring groaning

i did some searching, but only came up with clunking. At slow acceleration from a stopped position, i get a groaning noise both in forward and reverse.

i have found a few online references, but nothing conclusive for a fix.

Anyone found anything on this?

Yes, others have noted this issue. I have the same thing happening. There's another thread on this somewhere on this forum. Basically, it's a rubber bushing between the leafs that wears out and needs to be replaced. There's a TSB out on it, so your dealer should know how to replace it/fix it up.

I had the TSB done and mine were completely silent for about 1000 miles...

 

Now the noise is back just as bad as before!

That is frustrating... and also sounds just like GM.

I ordered some Deavers.  To hell with the OEM crap.
