Another Shining Moment

Time for another chapter in the never-ending adventures of my often embarassing 62yo father. Last night, while dining at Texas Roadhouse, he continues to shout the waitress' assistant's name at various parts of the meal. Then he says, "I need your job, you just follow her around and watch the rest of the girls." This is in between telling "Bob"(the assistant) to fetch him another 22oz. But even better was when he decided to get up and clap and yeehaw along with the rest of the staff when they went to someone else's table for a birthday.

Mmmmmm.....Texas Roadhouse.

Good stuff.

My dad got off of a plane in Arizona during a stop that we weren't supposed to get off the plane....It took us 20 minutes of kissing a$$ with the flight crew to let him back on....We thought that when he said he was going to the bathroom, that he would use the one on the plane.....Nope.

I feel your pain. Good times though.

My dad does weird stuff like that all the time. Sad thing is I'll probably be just like him when I turn 70.

The other day I saw a pair of old hip waders hanging in his shed so I asked where he got them. Turns out he fished them out of the neighbor's garbage can when he was getting the mail. "Thought I might need them someday", he said. You'd think the man was dirt poor.

Yep, Sincity got to see dad in rare form(as noted previously in another thread) watching the waitress dancing around near the counter when we were having lunch one time. I guess dad said it best last night in between telling the waitress' assistant "Bob" to fetch him another 22oz..."I've got the mind of a 21yo trapped in the body of a 62yo"

Steak fries, need I say more...Their 8oz sirloin is also pretty reasonable. I used to be an Outback fan, but their steaks haven't been cooked very good the last 2 times out there. Texas Roadhouse is closer to the new place anyway
