2020 silverado- protrusion on bottom of mirror

On my 2020 Silverado 1500 Texas Edition, on the passenger side outside mirror, there is a small black protrusion on the bottom of the mirror.  What is this for?

Passenger side mirror could be a camera, or puddle lamp if equipped but those are flush mounted.  air temp sensor is also there and it does stick out.  Lane change alerts are via front camera.  Blind spot monitoring is in the bed step.

I've got this protrusion on both mirrors.  It is where the side view cameras are.
