5.3 new gaskets and rod bolts ad bearings

Aluminum 5.3 brand new piston rings rod bearings and bolts new gasket set new stage 4 cam with push rods, springs, and valve seals. Everything torque down.  Turn motor over without it firing up and no ticking or knocking, once the motor fires up instantly starts ticking on the driver side closer to the back of the motor any suggestions on what it can be

Did you measure for pushrod length?

 

Is there oil being pushed up through each pushrod??

Yes pushrods came with the cam kit and yes oil is being pushed through took off valve covers

Probably a lifter making the noise. It may go away or it may not.

 

It's hard to say. So long as there is no metal or sparkles in the oil we know it's not bearing related.
