I went to www.performancecenter.com and found venom nos. Its pretty cool, because you can stop the flow of nitrous w/ an on and off switch and it monitors if your running to lean or rich. I'm not sure, but I've always heard that nitrous can hurt your engine, but is there more than one way, or can it only mess it up by running to lean? Have any of you installed this setup into your vehicle? I dont want a huge shot but just something for a little bit of push. Heres what I found,

"The VCN-1000 is Venom's entry level nitrous system. The system is built using Venom's proprietary closed loop fuel control system which ensures the proper air/fuel ratio under all operating conditions. The system features an advanced microprocessor based control module that will automatically terminate the flow of nitrous if the air fuel mixture becomes too lean.

The system includes a driver information display that indicates the air fuel mixture (rich/lean) and system status.

Kit Comes Complete With:

Computer Control Module

Nitrous Nozzles

Wiring Harness

Nitrous Solenoid

Bottle With Brackets

Hoses And All Fittings

Driver Information Display With Switch

Instruction Manual & Tuning Guide

Installation

You control the flow of nitrous to your engine using various sized nozzles (each kit contains 4 nozzles), the module will automatically control the fuel flow to your engine using your existing fuel injectors. No modifications to fuel pressure or fuel system plumbing is required and best of all it works on new fuel systems that do not include a fuel return line."

(you can also get the venom-2000. but just a bit more pricey.)

If you like the Venom system, you should check out the Zex system. Lets just put it this way. My grandmother could install a Zex nitrous system. Its very easy to do and just about dummy proof.

Beef your tranny!! Get a TransGo shift kit and a new tranny cooler. Maybe some billet servos, otherwise that extra HP to the tranny might not be good to it. I would try to see if anyone else is running that particular setup and get the goods and bads on it. Just to make sure you will be OK with what you purchase. I cant say I have ever heard of Venom before. Just NOS, ZEX and TNT.

:D well if your grandma can do it , i bet its not to hard ay? Yea, i swear i saw where this one guy was talkin about he had venom nos, hopefully he'll see this and give his thoughts. 99Silver5.3, i saw where you were talkin about puttin those billet servos and transgo shift kits. Already on my 2 do's list  I was interested in the venom mainly because it reads and tells you if its runnin lean. I do have a 100,000 mile warranty because of the engine knock from the dealer, so if the nos screws with my engine, I'll just uninstall the nos I guess so I dont ruin the warranty. Hopefully they wont figure it out. Again, thanks guys

The dealer has the means to find out. If they have have the slightest hint that NOS has been used they will pull an oil sample. Then they take it and have it analyzed. There will be NOS deposits in the oil. So watch out!! Just another way the dealership can spoil that nice long warranty. When you do the servos make sure you check band clearances!!
